Liebe Venib-Mitglieder und Interessierte!
Es war ein aufregender Monat und wir waren bei so einigen Veranstaltungen mit dabei. Wie zum Beispiel der ersten Regenbogenparade in Wiener Neustadt oder der Pride in Graz bei Regen. Wir hatten auch einige Infostände und sind so froh darüber, dass wir so viele nicht-binäre Menschen außerhalb Wiens treffen durften und unseren Verein vorstellen konnten.
Viele Events fanden auch in Wien statt.
Vienna Pride Konferenz
Am 16. Juni fanden wir uns im Wiener Rathaus zusammen und es gab lehrreiche Vorträge und interessante Podiumsdiskussionen. Unter anderem über adäquate Gesundheitsversorgung bei LGBTIQ+ Personen. Wiener Regenbogenparade
Dieses Jahr schlossen wir uns mit Cha(i)nge und VIMÖ zusammen und gingen als Teil der Fußgruppe “trans inter* nicht-binär” gemeinsam gegen die Fahrtrichtung des Rings. Mit Schildern machten wir auf die rechtliche Lage in verschiedenen Ländern aufmerksam. So gibt es in Griechenland bereits ein Verbot von nicht medizinisch notwendigen Eingriffen an inter* Kindern, während in Österreich dieser Schutz weiterhin fehlt.

“Schutz für alle” Petition
Anfang Juni startete die Petition für einen vollen Diskriminierungsschutz für LGBTIAQ+ Personen. Hier kann sie unterzeichnet werden: https://mein.aufstehn.at/petitions/schutzfuralle-jetzt
Außerdem kann die Petition „Schützen Sie intergeschlechtliche Kinder und Jugendliche“ unter https://mein.aufstehn.at/p/inter weiterhin unterzeichnet werden!
Pride Month ist zwar offiziell vorbei, wir sind aber weiterhin here and queer. Diese Woche ist Non-binary Awareness Week. Und wir sind bei weiteren Veranstaltungen vertreten.
From Kings to Queens Event
Am 14. Juli, zum Internationalen Nicht-binär Tag, gibt es ab 19 Uhr wieder ein Drag Event im Jo & Joe (Europaplatz 1 / 6, 1150 Wien). Venib wird dort einen Infostand betreuen. https://instagram.com/fromkingstoqueens
Innsbruck Pride
Am 29. Juli findet die Pride mit Parade in Innsbruck statt. Zusammen mit Cha(i)nge und VIMÖ werden wir einen Infostand dort haben. https://csd-innsbruck.at
Trans* Mutual Care Network
Wir möchten euch auch gerne ein neu gestartetes Projekt aus der trans Community vorstellen. Dieses Peer-to-Peer Unterstützungsnetzwerk ist von und für trans, nicht-binäre und geschlechts-nicht-konforme Personen in Wien. Ehrenamtliche bieten Unterstützung während transbezogenener
medizinischer Versorgung an. Dazu gehört zum Beispiel Hausarbeiten erledigen nach einer Operation oder bei einem ärztlichen Termin Gesellschaft leisten.
Es wird dazu Informationsveranstaltungen für trans, nicht-binäre und GNC Personen geben. Am 18. Juli um 19:30 Uhr online (Anmeldung per Email) und am 22. Juli um 14 Uhr im Villa Vida Café.

Dear members and friends of Venib!
It was an exciting month and we partook at several events. For example the first pride parade in Wiener Neustadt and the pride in Graz in the rain. We had a few information booths and are so happy that we were able to meet so many non-binary people outside of Vienna and to present our association.
A lot of events took place in Vienna too.
Vienna Pride Conference
On 16th of June we gathered at the Vienna City Hall and there were informative lectures and interesting panel discussions. Among others, also about adequate health care for LGBTIQ+ people. Vienna Pride Parade
This year we joined forces with Cha(i)nge and VIMÖ and walked together as part of the foot group “trans inter* non-binary” against the direction of traffic of the Ring. With signs we drew attention to the legal situation in different countries. In Greece, for example, there is already a ban on medically not necessary interventions on inter* children, while this protection is still missing in Austria. Petition “Schutz für alle” (=Protection for all)
At the beginning of June a petition for the full protection against discrimination against LGBTIAQ+ people has launched. Here it can be signed: https://mein.aufstehn.at/petitions/schutzfuralle-jetzt

Trans* Mutual Care Network
We would also like to introduce a newly started project from the trans community. This peer-to-peer support network is by and for trans, non-binary and gender-non-conforming people in Vienna. Volunteers
provide support during the time of trans-related medical care. This includes doing household chores while recovering from surgery or keeping people company at medical appointments.
There will be information sessions for trans, non-binary and GNC people. On 18th of July at 7:30pm online (register by email) and on 22nd at 2pm at Villa Vida Café.
